1. Scope
These terms govern payments through Qitaat in every section: contract, quick order, package, rental and booking payments; escrow, release and refunds; commission; subscriptions and their invoices; and payouts to providers.
2. Payment gateway
- Electronic payment is made through a licensed payment service provider, and Qitaat does not keep your full card details.
- A payment is applied on the Platform only after it is verified with the payment provider; anything that does not match the amount, currency or purpose is referred to finance and not applied.
- Instalment payment may be available through an instalment provider for specific purposes, and that provider's terms govern your relationship with it; its fees are borne by the Platform, not the customer or the provider, unless stated otherwise.
3. Escrow and release
- In the escrow route the amount is held with the payment provider until the release conditions set for the transaction are met (such as confirmed completion, approval of a stage or expiry of the objection period).
- A payment, or part of it, may be held for a reason originating outside it (such as receipt inspection notes or an open dispute), and the held amount is not released until the hold is lifted for its reason.
- A hold for a partial amount does not prevent release of the remainder, and the held amount is recorded until its outcome is decided.
4. Refunds
- Any amount due back to the payer from escrow is refunded to the same payment method that funded it, within the time the payment provider and bank need.
- The section terms and dispute decisions determine when a refund is due and how much.
5. External route
If the parties agree to pay outside the gateway (such as by direct transfer), they must record it on the Platform. Qitaat is not responsible for these amounts, and the external route does not remove the Platform commission due.
6. Commission
- The Platform commission is calculated under the provider's published agreement or the section settings and is shown before you commit.
- Commission is deducted from the payment on release in the escrow route and invoiced in the external route.
- The Platform issues the commission invoice to the provider according to the invoicing requirements.
7. Subscriptions
- A paid package is activated only when its invoice is paid, and each account has one outstanding invoice at a time.
- Automatic renewal is optional, and a card is kept only while it is on, as an encrypted token held with the payment provider.
- Renewal does not cancel what remains of the current cycle or trial. If a cycle ends without payment, the account is moved down to the basic package; it is not closed.
- You may turn off automatic renewal at any time, and the subscription continues until the end of its cycle.
8. Tax and invoices
Value added tax is calculated at the rate of the transaction's country and recorded explicitly, and invoices are issued under the applicable electronic invoicing requirements and can be viewed and downloaded from the account.
9. Payouts to providers
Dues are paid to the provider's approved bank account by a payout order approved by one officer and transferred by another. A bank account is approved only by someone other than the person who entered it.
10. Discount and referral codes
Codes apply under their conditions. The discount from a Platform code or referral is borne by the Platform, which compensates the provider on release; the discount from a provider's code is borne by the provider. A referral reward is earned on the referred person's first final payment under its settings.
11. Fraud and chargebacks
Where fraud is suspected or a chargeback is requested, release or payout may be suspended until verified, in cooperation with the payment provider and the competent authorities.
